Lawn Care & Landscaping in Enola, PA
Enola is the river-side community in East Pennsboro Township, built around the Norfolk Southern rail yard, with older streets near the river and newer neighborhoods on the hill behind them. It isn't its own municipality, so the rules that apply are East Pennsboro's.
We're based in Mechanicsburg, about fifteen minutes away. We mow, fertilize and treat weeds, seed, mulch, trim shrubs, do seasonal cleanups, build small patios and walls and plow driveways for homes and businesses. The owner is on site for every job.

Good to Know
Yard Work Rules in Enola.
Local rules that come up with lawn, leaf, snow and patio work, with the source for each. Dates change year to year, so check the source before you plan around one.
Leaves and yard waste
East Pennsboro crews pick up leaves in the fall on a posted schedule, and yard waste goes out the third week of each month from April through October in paper bags or bundles, no grass clippings. Residents can use the township yard waste facility on South Humer Street, a short drive from Enola, with a $10 annual card. A fall cleanup hauls the leaves away instead.

Sidewalks and snow emergency routes
Sidewalks have to be cleared to three feet within 24 hours after snow stops, and snow can't go onto a plowed street. Enola Drive, Enola Street, Humer Street and Salt Road are among the township's snow emergency routes, where parking is banned during an emergency. Set up snow removal before the first storm.

Permits
The township enforces the state building code with its own inspectors, and any work in the road right-of-way, including a driveway apron or sidewalk, needs a Highway Occupancy Permit. Ask the township before a patio, walkway or wall starts.

Grass height and street trees
The township caps weeds and plant growth at six inches, and planting or removing a tree in the street right-of-way takes a written township permit. A regular mowing schedule keeps the lawn well under the limit.
